Warranty Policy

This policy applies exclusively to products purchased via piscisea.com. Purchases made through third-party retailers are subject to the warranty policies of those respective platforms.
At Piscisea, we engineer our hardware for the abyss. We stand behind our precision manufacturing with a straightforward, transparent warranty process designed to keep you on the water.
  1. Warranty Coverage & Duration

Piscisea provides an 18-month limited warranty from the date of receipt on the Piscisea Alpha Hybrid Reel (the "Main Device").
  • Scope: This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including electrical and mechanical failures under normal operating conditions.
  • Components: High-wear components, including but not limited to bearings and drag washers, are subject to a limited 6-month coverage period.
  • New Part Warranty: If a component is replaced during a warranty repair, that specific part receives a new 12-month warranty or the remainder of the original 18-month warranty, whichever is longer.
  • Authorized Use: This warranty is granted for personal, recreational use only. Use of the Piscisea Alpha for commercial or rental purposes is strictly excluded from this 18-month coverage unless a separate commercial service agreement is in place.
  1. "Fast Swap" Services & Professional Maintenance

To minimize downtime during the fishing season, Piscisea offers two industry-leading service programs:

A. Advanced Replacement Program (Fast Swap)

For qualifying warranty claims, we offer an Advanced Replacement Service.
  • We ship a replacement unit to you before receiving your original unit.
  • A refundable security deposit is required.
  • The deposit is fully refunded once your original unit is returned and inspected. If the returned unit shows non-warranty damage (e.g., impact or submersion beyond IPX6), repair fees may be deducted from the deposit.
  • Final Sale Clause: Failure to return the original unit within a 14-day window may result in the forfeiture of the security deposit, and the replacement unit will be considered a final sale.

B. Complementary Maintenance

Piscisea provides one complimentary professional maintenance within your warranty period.
  • Inclusions: Deep cleaning, salt-deposit removal, lubrication, and a multi-point electronic diagnostic.
  • Logistics and Shipping: To ensure a seamless service experience, please adhere to the following shipping protocol
    • Inbound: The customer is responsible for securely packaging and shipping the reel to our authorized technical center. We recommend using a trackable and insured service, as Piscisea is not responsible for units lost or damaged during inbound transit.
    • Outbound: Once the maintenance service is complete, Piscisea will cover the return shipping costs to send the reel back to the customer (within our standard service regions).
This ensures your reel remains at peak performance for demanding offshore conditions.
  1. Technical Integrity Restrictions

To maintain the precision and IPX6 integrity of the device, the following restrictions apply. Failures resulting from the following are excluded from coverage:
  • Chemical Exposure: Use of non-authorized lubricants, greases, or cleaning solvents that degrade seals or internal components.
  • Electrical Specifications: Use of unauthorized batteries, non-spec power cables, or incorrect voltage inputs.
  • Unauthorized Access: Any attempt to disassemble the motor housing or breach the factory internal rubber seals by unauthorized personnel.
  1. What is Not Covered

This warranty excludes failures caused by:
  • Misuse & Abuse: physical damages, "high-sticking," or using the reel for species beyond its rated line-class/drag-capacity.
  • Environmental Overexposure: Water damage resulting from submersion beyond the IPX6 rating (e.g., deep-sea pressure exposure or high-pressure power washing).
  • Normal Wear & Tear: Cosmetic scratches, fading from UV exposure, and expected degradation of bearings or drag stacks through standard use.
  • Unauthorized Channels: Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or secondary markets.
  1. Regional Compliance

This Limited Warranty provides specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state, province to province, or country to country.
  • Precedence of Local Law: The terms specified in this warranty shall be implemented to the extent permitted by the laws of your country or region. If any provision of this warranty is found to be unenforceable or insufficient to meet the mandatory requirements of the laws in your jurisdiction, your local statutory policies and regulations shall take precedence.
  1. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PISCISESEA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF ANTICIPATED PROFITS.

How to Obtain Warranty Service

  1. Initiate: Email support@piscisea.com with your Order ID and a brief video/photo of the issue.
  2. Remote Diagnostic: Our engineering team will attempt to resolve the issue via firmware update or remote troubleshooting.
  3. RMA Issuance: If physical service is required, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and provide a prepaid shipping label (within the US, Canada, EU, and UK).
